    You had me until you said YouTube was useless.

    I just used it to fix my dishwasher and it saved me hundreds on a service call and repair.

    Same for a squealing toilet. Two bucks to replace a single part.

    YouTube is awesome.

      I mean in the sense of using it as one would use an online community. The ability to comment on videos was thanosed by COPPA, their popularity system is far beyond fixable, and big businesses convince YouTube to take down innocent videos for no reason all the time.

      Youtube is definitely great but in the same context it has made certain things way more difficult to find solutions for. Either you have videos that are way too long for simple how-to videos or way too short/vague for others. Also, you can’t just print up a video when doing some more complex repairs. Took me forever to figure out how to remove the master cylinder for my clutch because every video kind glossed over it.
