It absolutely, demonstrably is. I’ve gone home after working nights as a nurse and it’s scary that people drive in that state, and are also responsible for others’ lives.
In high school I had to drive to my dad’s place for visitation. It was very common for me to be driving very tired on the way back home. On more than one occasion I woke up on the freeway doing 70mph. It’s terrifying. I’m not sure how I never crashed, but am thankful I didn’t.
These comments are starting to make me think that driving tired is as bad or worse than drunk driving.
