I’m fairly certain it’s getting worse.

I had an ex who insisted on this setup. Apparently Kitchenaid has somehow been able to convince people this is an decorative status symbol. As an alliance I’ve never seen one in action and I’ve seen many of them.
Gross!!! Let me taste it.
I’m fairly certain this is an old Quake map.
Literally the only people who I hear say negative things about Torx / star bits are people who don’t own a good Torx driver set. They don’t strip easily (using the correct size) and they don’t slip.
Android can be great. It’s Google that’s the problem.
Agreed. No Firefox means no monthly payment from me.
As long as those friends have strong and inflexible opinions about chat apps then yes.
The problem is the residual holy water would kill them.
I second this. Anyone who says “You get what you pay for” is either trying to sell you something OR they themself are a sucker. Sure, sometimes** you get what you pay for but plenty of other times you’re getting straight up ripped off because the seller realizes you’ll mistake price with quality. Don’t be anyones sucker.
I would also add that you shouldn’t be using a basic calculator to solve multi part problems. Second, I haven’t seen a division sign used in a formal math class since elementary and possibly junior high. These things are almost always written as fractions which makes the logic easier to follow. The entire point of working in convention is so that results are reproducible. The real problem though is that these are not written to educate anyone. They are deliberately written to confuse so that some social media personality can make money from clicks. If someone really wants to practice math skip the click and head over to the Kahn Academy or something similar.
The very saddest thing is that people don’t know Firefox is a non profit trying to protect their privacy and instead choose Chrome. It’s almost like they want to be owned and subjugated by big business.
I saw an earlier post that showed Lemmy’s recent rapid growth followed by a plateau and then slight decline. My feeling is that there is a very LOUD minority of Lemmy users that are trying to act as self-anointed gatekeepers and they’re bringing the platform down as a direct consequence. It makes the platform look petty and small to new and existing users alike. If the top posts are continually about shaming other users then this platform isn’t going to last. Let’s focus on building communities and having interesting conversations rather than one upping each other.
I found out about Lemmy BECAUSE of Sync. I’m a huge FOSS supporter but that doesn’t mean I’ll trash anything that isn’t open source.
Much more importantly, I’d really like to see Lemmy succeed against data mining trash like Reddit. Let’s not dissuade potential converts coming over from Reddit with this gatekeeping nonsense. These manipulative parasitic social media companies are the real enemy here. Sync is one guy making one app with a one time purchase. Everyone is still welcome to use open source apps, the website or any other means of accessing the community. Sync is not your enemy.
The Samsung keyboard definitely looks better but underperforms both gboard & SwiftKey when it comes to swipe typing, auto correction and spelling. I very much wish it was the best because I’m getting tired of the other two trying to force AI features on their keyboards.
