So I have to seed a torrent for up to 10 days. Doesn’t sound that big of a deal right? Just leave it running in the background. Here’s the problem. Despite me turning off battery optimization on my phone and turning Libretorrent’s battery usage to unrestricted it will still for some reason stop seeding in the middle of the night. Because of this, a torrent I started seeding on the 5th is only at 2 days 13 hours!

Is there any way to fix this? Would switching to another client still count for my torrentleech seeding time? I really need to fix this or it’s going to take an eternity to reach 10 days of seeding time.

I don’t disagree. Hopefully the first option (lock in recent apps) is all you need to do, that one actually makes sense.

So I’ve tried all that, even turned my phone screen off for awhile to test it and it STILL does it. This is beyond frustrating. I’m starting to think this is a Libretorrent issue. I probably should switch clients after this.

Edit: I seem to have find a possible solution. In the power settings there is an option to keep the phone awake. That to turn it on if the time download speed decreases when the phone screen is off. Download speed isn’t my issue here as I’m not download but hopefully this will fix my issue.

I’ve fixed the problem. It was infact Libretorrents fault. There’s an option buried in the power settings to keep the app awake. Shit should be on by default if you’re seeding but I digress. Problem is finally solved. Now I can hopefully knock out the 7 days i need.

Ah right, I know a lot of apps that need to stay on constantly will use a notification to keep themselves awake, and it’s usually not on by default because it’ll murder your battery. I’ve had luck in the past using Flud rather than LibreTorrent, so you might try that. But my general advice would be to avoid using a phone for this; I’m guessing you’ll run into similar issues with Flud.

I don’t have a choice of using a pc at the moment. Libretorrent should be fine for now. Thanks for the help in this thread it pointed me in the right direction.
