Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

Playing Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout as my primary game. Not much to add here.

Started (and finished) Until Dawn. It has been in my library for ages.

A bit scary for my taste, but enjoyed the game overall. Didn’t know it had such a big cast. Wanted to go back and play through multiple times more, one by keeping everyone alive, and one by letting everyone die and then get the Platinum, but when I tried I realised you can’t skip the cut scenes or any conversations, even if you have seen them before. Not going to sit through all those again, will just watch different endings on YouTube.

This also confirmed for me that I don’t like horror, so not going to play any other Supermassive games.

Keeping with the theme of this year, started another game from very back of my backlog Apotheon, it’s an old side scrolling Greek RPG from 2014 or so.

Visuals are very nice, like those pot paintings (whatever they are called), black characters on yellow (and other coloured) backdrop. I am making it sound simple, but they are very detailed. Controls take a bit getting used to, but it’s fun when you get the hang of it.

Also, downloaded Marvel Rivals, some friends are interested in trying it out. Let’s see how long this lasts.

What about all of you? What have you been playing?

Playing Qualia: The Path of Promise!

Still progressing slowly, have not been in a gaming mood. But one thing I realized that putting a kinetic VN like this one on “Auto” works really well as a distraction when I’m cycling at the gym, so this should help speeding up progress. 😆

I also learned that several games that should work well with a single Joycon work like VNs don’t. 🙁 So I bought one of these small controllers from 8bitdo to use on these situations, let’s how it works.

    Playing Vampire Survivors!

Still playing this as a side-game, still unlocking more weapons/stages/characters.

That controller looks very uncomfortable to use. Doesn’t your had feel cramped? Or are you using it with just one hand?

Or are you using it with just one hand?

Yup, mostly for things I can play with one hand like VNs. Might also be OK for quick sessions “on the go” or for younger kids like my nieces as well.
