Yes, German dialects can vary greatly for example here’s the same sentence “I have an apple.” in different German dialects:
Standard German:
“Ich habe einen Apfel.”
Northern German / Platt:
“Ik hab en Appel.”
Middle German / Saxonian:
" 'sch’habm Abbl." ( 'sch is pronounced like sh)
Southern German / Bavarian & Austrian:
“I hob an Opfü.” (I is pronounced like the single letter E)
The Southern Germans are the ones with the Schwarzenegger accent.

Funny back story: I first learned about Unicode around 2013 - 15 (I always judge those wrong in terms of when I started using certain apps/sites)… Back then people would start commenting shit on YouTube using emoji but Firefox hadn’t introduced emoji support yet, causing them to be displayed as Unicode strings which lead to comments looking like this: “Hahaha, haven’t laughed like this in ages U+1F602 Best video ever U+2764”
Oh, yeah, I know how emojis work using unicode, I just didn’t bother to attach an image of the Samsung 😬 emoji for laziness reasons (I myself don’t have a Samsung Smartphone either.)

Like japanese is somewhat easy to pronounce but difficult to read because of it’s multiple alphabets, korean is easy to read but hard to pronounce and chinese is hard in both reading and speaking.
