  • Except for the fact that it’s now invasive as hell and trying to monitor/sell everything on your computer after the rewrite. We had to ditch teams after the rework because it wanted to phone home to dozens of IPs with information about our computers and actions.

The high score was blocking 112 outgoing requests with personal data in a single 1 hour call. (We have network connections locked down on our computers using Little Snitch).

Absolute madness and frankly every single person involved in Microsoft Teams should be thrown in jail for espionage and stalking.

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport

It intentionally acts as an intercept for such things, so that core dumps can be nicely packaged up and sent to maintainers in a GUI-friendly way so maintainers can get valuable debugging information even from non-tech-savvy users. If you’re running something on the terminal, it won’t be intercepted and the core dump will be put in the working directory of the binary, but if you executed it through the GUI it will.

Assuming, of course, you turn crash interception on- it’s off by default since it might contain sensitive info. Apport itself is always on and running to handle Ubuntu errors, but the crash interception needs enabled.

It’s for holding onto while playing, there’s literally stickers on the machine saying to do it. The current machines even advise it during the health/safety prompts. Current songs are charted specifically with the bar in mind. This isn’t 2001 anymore. This guy has absolutely zero fuckin idea what he’s talking about.
