Computer programming, regardless of language, is hard. The computer does exactly what you tell it to.

Is that an armadillo? Forgetting how my own code works is my forte.
Interesting. In the UK we have a fixed standing charge per day (about 45p), so when the price goes negative it is in your interest to use as much as you can. The most negative I’ve seen is -10p/kWh, but most of the time it’s fractions of a penny.
UK too.
Currently it’s gone back up to 7p (about half to normal price), but the solar has kicked in and I’m supplying power to the grid anyway.
The most difficult part is to keep track of the big picture because it is so verbose. Otherwise it’s a handful or two of instructions you use 90+% of the time.
It’s a long time since I wrote any assembly in anger, but I don’t remember this being an issue. Back then Id be writing 2D and 3D graphics demos. Reasonably complex things, but the challenge was always getting it fast enought to keep the frame rate up, not code structure.
As you say, I think you just establish patterns to decompose the problem.
Only the most very basic compilers. C compilers are in C mainly.
Lucky it was set in America.
Yes. Glad somebody else gets it.
Totally understandable choice.

“It’s off, so I turn it on and … WALK AWAY!”
Class inequality is not the same thing as anti capitalism. I like capitalism. I see it as a vehicle for those who contribute being rewarded.
We have classist structures outside of more things than business. Politics is the big one, but it’s nowhere near the only one. I’m for tearing down those who get power without needing to demonstrate the skill needed to wield it. Those that are given it either through nepotism or cronyism.
I truly believe that the system doesn’t care about race or gender or whatever. It cares about looking after it’s friends. If you’re not in the club you’re trodden underfoot. So pitting black against white and man against woman is a distraction. We all need to be fighting together against the “landed gentry”.
If all the prices are $x.x9 then it’s only possible if you buy a multiple of 10 items.
…
You’re so close.
Can’t fight capitalism without addressing inequalities and fighting for a just society for everyone.
So very close!
