Water only splits into O2 and H2 under electrolysis, not due to acid/base chemistry. You have to be actively adding electrons. In solution, it dissociates into ion states as protons H+ and hydroxide OH-.

The armorer definitely should have some fault, but no one would have been shot if Alec Baldwin hadn’t pointed the gun at them. He was directing the barrel in the location of people. He had his finger on the trigger.

Alec Baldwin definitely should have ended up with more of the blame than he did. Pointing a real gun at people and pulling the trigger, even if you think it’s not loaded, is fucking scary and terrifying behavior for exactly the reasons that resulted in this case.
