As someone who’s caught a leaker in the past (well, someone that was exfiltrating company secrets to a competitor) catching leakers is actually pretty easy if you have any modicum of control over the tools they use and the places they work. Barring that, no. Just no. It’s not going to happen.
If a leaker is gullible and stupid some trickery is possible but I wouldn’t get my hopes up, Warner Music. Seems like a job that’s doomed to fail from the start. I wouldn’t even bother unless they know it’s just a job on paper and are actually just looking to give someone’s kid a legit-sounding job to pad their resume 🤷
Not only that but if I were in charge of hiring I’d be extremely skeptical of any and all applicants. Anyone smart enough to do the job will know it’s impossible and will just become a master of stalling and picking low hanging fruit (aka useless) and everyone else is just a fraud.

SharePoint promised to make this same functionality work but never got it right. Same for the web version of office. They’re horrible compared to Google Docs and there’s supposedly even better collab word processing tools.

Besides, not all apps that load external URLs are like that: A lot of them will use Android Web View which annoys TF out of me.
If you install Firefox Focus and make it your default browser on Android the Jerboa client (and others I think) will use it when loading links unless you have a specific app associated with a given URL (e.g. NYT app, NPR app, etc).
If you’re not familiar with Firefox Focus it’s a version of Firefox built for privacy. It basically makes it so that every URL you load behaves like a private browser tab. It also has ad-blocking built in which is sweet (though it doesn’t work on everything/not as good as uBlock Origin).
Oops: Just realized your question is related to Mastodon and not Lemmy. Though I’m certain that Firefox Focus would work the same way for Mastodon clients.
Actually, I just checked Tusky and yes, it does load URLs in Firefox Focus. So my advice is still good 👍
At this point I’m curious: WTF is Microsoft Word even good for? It’s like the worst-in-class tool for all things word processing, page layout, typesetting, embedding other stuff into the document, and more. Why are people still torturing themselves with this garbage? Just because it’s there? I mean, Wordpad is there too (though maybe not for much longer) but nobody uses that. It’s also garbage but still…
Kubuntu 24.04. When 24.10 is out I’ll switch to it (usually a week or two later because I’m lazy and don’t feel like rebooting). I’ve got two desktops and two laptops running that. Then there’s the HTPC which also running Kubuntu with font scaling set real high to make it easy to read stuff from the couch (that includes Firefox with lots of GUI scaling changes; uBlock Origin makes it a fantastic anime watching station 👍).
Mine and my daughter’s phones have KDE Connect so we can control the HTPC without having to get up to get the wireless mouse/keyboard 😁
The three Raspberry Pis in my house are all running the latest Raspbian image.

To be fair, a 250g RC aircraft can cause a lot of destruction to a plane that’s in the process of taking off/landing or to a car on a highway.
Having said that, they really have gone overboard with the regulation. Restrict airspace near airports and over highways, not something as ambiguous as “over people”. They also (still) require a spotter for FPV which is just silly. The point of the spotter is so you can figure out where it went if you lose control (presumably, to take responsibility if it crashes into something important and does some damage). Anyone flying FPV is going to know exactly where the RC aircraft was when they lost control (and modern ones will return themselves home if contact is lost like that).
They need to focus more on regulating features instead of “what and where”. If every RC aircraft has to have a return to home feature that would make more sense than something super ambiguous like, “don’t fly above people.”
This article could’ve been written any decade since the 1990s. It’s nothing new: The big game companies haven’t changed a bit and continue to exploit workers.
The only way to change things is via stronger worker protections/regulations.
