Only when I overdue it with it caffeine and other stimulants.
That’s the difference between us. I’ve always found a way to get by and any work place or so called boss that wasn’t worthy of my time or energy, didn’t get that investment.
Maybe I was just raised different but I am more than willing to tell someone to fuck off if/when its needed, it of course starts more diplomatically than a literal middle finger but I was never afraid to escalate to an actual “fuck off, I’m out of here” when it was needed. It’s one reason why I work for myself, I only have myself and my bills to answer to.
There is a growing movement towards unions and other forms of collective bargaining. If you want to keep being afraid of your own shadow, that’s fine but don’t you dare do others the disservice of pushing them away from taking control of their own destinies.
By not giving a shit. If they are spying on you, they are scared and you have all of the power.
Actually, that would make it even easier, in theory. You’d meet more of your coworkers and would be able to more easily spread the word and discuss pros/cons, etc.
That doesn’t answer the question. Where are you located on the planet? I’ve never seen it around here (NC USA) and I’ve never seen anyone talking about it online (before you) and I’ve never had anyone talk about it irl.
Where in the world is this?
I have never heard of this and I’ve never seen anyone doing such a ridiculous thing.
From who? Sega for ripping off the gamegear?
As I said in another comment. At one point in time I’m fairly certain that they were round filing any dmca notices but that could have changed. I know for a fact that spectrum forwards them (because I’ve gotten a few over the past few years). I now pay for a seedbox and I use resilio sync to make moving them to my nas mostly hands off.
Iirc, at one point I believe they were round filing any dmca requests. What I would suggest is use Proton or another vpn that has settings for this type of traffic. I don’t remember seeing anything about them throttling non pirated files transferred over those protocols but I haven’t paid attention to them in years because I moved away from the area they were rolling out.
Already done. I’ll have to double check and make sure it’s on super seed but I added it yesterday.
I’m working right now but I will add this to my seedbox when I get home. I’ll leave it on for as long as I have that box.
I’ve never had an issue but then again I don’t use it for much more than movies and TV. If sync thing supports qnap I might check it out but I’ve been using sync since it was launched (if not soon after).
Sync by resilio. I use it between my computers and nas and between my computer and my vps and my nas and my vps, I also use it between my work and personal phone.
This is the way. It’s just me who watches stuff off my nas and I’m fine with vlc so I don’t use plex or jellyfin or whatever. I have an old (at this point) qnap nas that I’ve been doing the same with. Mine is a total of 40tb’ish iirc. I definitely need to get a second nas and some more drives but for now what I have is enough though I am going to run out of space soonish.
Shit dude, give me access to most things I want to watch and most of the stuff I’ve forgotten about and that’s worth $50/month as a minimum.
I’ve come full circle back to wearing an eye patch. I was using amazon, hulu, hbo and paramount, usually letting some lapse or pause to watch stuff on the other ones but they have all gone to shit. It’s impossible to find what you might be interested because just like netflix they show the same shows/movies in multiple categories and their search sucks ass plus they are all missing a ton of good shows.
Now I am slowly downloading shows from the past that I don’t already have in my library and haven’t watched in years while I keep an eye out for new shows I might be interested in. I use showrss to auto download current shows that it has in its DB to a vps and I have sync setup to mirror it to my nas so I can stream it to my TV with vlc. So much easier than opening hulu, finding the show I want to catch up on, etc.
First result on Google says he did.
Maybe YOU can’t.
