That’s what sucks about Civ (and EU4, HOI4 and the like for that matter) — once you figure out how it works and you start winning it becomes boring in single player.

And then for multiplayer it’s hard to find someone committed to playing for long stretches of time consistently.

I think it’s the combo of the stress, the low salary, and high turnover. The ones that stay develop coping mechanisms. I imagine a few get lucky and get to work at fancy places too.

For me it’s homebrewing. It’s so simple yet there is so much disinformation and people encouraging others into following old wives tales that aren’t necessarily proven to do anything.

Also, so many anglophones using imperial measurements it’s ridiculous. Metric makes way more sense especially for volumes.

In Greece it’s common for children to stay with their parents past 30. Your conflict is a cultural one.

My advice is to not worry about it and not feel ashamed. There are plenty of reasons to live with one’s parents, especially these days with the high cost of living. I’m sure your peers understand this.

In fact, the money you save on living expenses can potentially be used to buy yourself a home in the future, instead of perpetually paying rent like the rest of us.
