I bought the N100 version of what I linked above and it’s been great so far. Obviously you have your own requirements, but IMO this is a waste of a U. The system is so compact that you’re better off putting it on a shelf with other things.
More powerful N100, smaller, cheaper, no brainer to me.
Why buy a mobo when you could get this for cheaper, in a smaller footprint, and comes with a case and PSU? Do you really need the SATA ports?
Speaking of security, our company has found that students now account for the largest group to fall for phishing scams. It used to be the older folks, but gen z doesn’t seem to understand email. They’re used to DMs on authenticated and moderated platforms and they don’t get that anyone can send an email and pretend to be anyone else.
I used to use the analogy of snail mail and how anyone can write anything on an envelope, but they aren’t familiar with that either.
I’ve had an ecobee for five years and it’s been great… EXCEPT for that when they were doing a server migration or something a few years back. I swear for several months it was completely unreliable with Google Assistant and the Android App not being able to reach it half the time.
Like the OP said, it uses an external call to cloud servers and you have to trust that those servers will stay online and be reliable. It’s been rock solid for the last few years so I think I was just part of some growing pains, but my god I was pissed during that time and about to buy a Z-wave thermostat.
Ok, this is anonymous so I’ll bite. Do you seriously never pick your nose? Even when you’re alone? If so how do you deal with dry boogers if the humidity is low?
Yup. Steam is my go-to because of easy game steaming, steam deck integration, etc. But I know what I’m sacrificing for that convenience. Luckily Valve is an incredibly customer focused company and I have a huge amount of (well deserved IMO) faith in. GOG however is definitely still the best way to own your games.

It’s more than that, they’re concerned (and rightfully so) that their jobs will be lost to automation. Automation as a technology is fantastic and can save humanity from labour, but we as a society/economy have no fucking clue how to handle it.

A few of my friends got the Autonomous ErgoChair and really like it. It’s not at high quality as a Steelcase or Herman Miller, but it’s a lot more affordable. I’d rather it than one of these gaming chairs.
