Yikes. I’ve never read Asterix and Obelix, but did they really make (I assume) the only black character a straight up knuckle-dragging gorilla imitation? 😬

More like “And I hope you learned not to trust the wellbeing and education of the children entrusted to you to a program that’s not capable of doing either.”
Brace yourselves for Embracest, Extendest, Estinguishest.
That’s the classic Bethesda experience.

It’s always a laugh to see users like this. Nothing like joining an established group and then whinging about how “toxic” it is when they get rebuffed for repeatedly breaking the given rules.
Also they’re trying to prevent burnout maybe.
I dunno about everyone else, but a rotating shift like that would destroy me. A locked in schedule, even overnight, would be infinitely better for preventing burnout for me.
This is all personal opinion. Sometimes music just doesn’t click for some people and that’s alright.
In the pictures it’s clear it’s not just folded, though. Most of the stalk is severed, barring one little strip of bark. And it’s still flourishing. Wild.
I love this scene. Taught me what “yak shaving” is and helps me explain it to other people.
What an astounding gathering of terrible takes.
“Mod Support” means (or at least, it used to) the game has structures in place to allow modifications, not that the company is paywalling mods that they “approve”. I’m not sure what the latter is called, but I’m quite sure there’d be a massive uproar if MS/MJ did that for java edition. I know I’d never play the game again, that’s for sure.
Unfortunately blocking an instance only blocks posts on that instance, not users from it, which is the main issue people have with those instances.
“Out of the blue”. They were gobbling up studios as nothing more than assets. Any “good” that came of that process was purely incidental and this sandbag dumping when they started to sink was inevitable.
To clarify, this is not Fedi-NFTs, right? Just collaborative art/game stuff?

The first one is definitely an issue, but I struggle to think of a good solution to it that wouldn’t subvert the point of federation in the first place. Not sure if it’s a necessary evil, exactly, but we’re really still in the early days of the tech. Time will tell if it’s solvable.
The second one is more an issue with users. Ideally, while there may be “too many” communities for one topic, they would consolidate over time to a handful or even just one. And while it’s worth noting that the nature of federation on Lemmy can isolate communities and instances, it’s also a solvable issue on the part of users and admins, it just takes work on their part.
WHY do people think everything needs to be cropped to hell just to fit on their phone. The screen rotates. Just twist it around ya lazy bastards.
Anyhow, here’s a link to the full size video that isn’t pointlessly cut down by 75%: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QThaHpkFVzw
This is a good recommendation. I went into the movie thinking it would be silent. Was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t, tbh.
