  • Meh, if it drops it drops. I’ll never have the relationship to social media I used to, because I don’t want it anymore. If Lemmy can give me a few posts a day of things I might not normally see, that’s enough for me. It doesn’t need to be the next Reddit or whatever. After quitting Reddit I’m getting back into things I haven’t done in years. I don’t need that again.

I mean, it’s not like you’re pressure washing it. If it’s splashing that much you’re using too much pressure. Anyway I, I think I’m on safe ground in stating that it’s still cleaner than smearing the poop around with paper, but you do you.

The bidet gets its water from a clean water source. You’re not washing your ass with dirty toilet bowl water. If you need to clean a wider target you kind of shimmy around a little. Obviously you have to dry off with something. Some people use washable towels, others use regular old tp.

Sure. We will have to be willing to pay the price as a society, and that’s a hard sell for people who don’t choose to do those things. Probably worth reiterating that we actually do restrict people from swimming in certain places. Why? Because it’s too dangerous and also puts rescuers at risk. You might say, “well just let them drown”, but that seems rather callous in my opinion. I suppose the boring answer like usual is finding a middle ground where most interested parties are unhappy with the compromise.
