@cheese_greater@lemmy.world percussion have a pitch. I don’t know about drums, but cymbals pitch is super high, so I guess it is not easy for our brains to translate into a note, so no disonance

@jaykay@lemmy.zip Navidrome supports multiple users. The issue for you is to merge collections, then?
@Nommer@sh.itjust.works who said “trust me”? Please let me know what other purpose is the goal of purchase an ad company (other than to sell ads, one way or another)
@iso@lemy.lol I think we need to accept that unless self-hosting is your full time job, things can and will break. At some point you have to accept it and let it go.
Finally I know when I die, my spouse won’t take care of my homelab and servers, all of it will go to the recycler.
@scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech Maybe I should rephrase It might be a bit early, but I don’t think there is going to be any benefit from this course of action for the users.
@morphballganon@lemmy.world I can’t prove it, but the fact they bought an ad company surely is an indication.
@slazer2au@lemmy.world I can’t prove it, but it is likely you will start seeing ads in a near future in your browser, I wouldn’t be shocked.
@Num10ck@lemmy.world that is fine, but I suspect it is not possible to play it in a multiplayer setting via a browser
@ladfrombrad@lemdro.id I wonder if these type of devices will reduce the risk for usb?

@CameronDev@programming.dev I don’t think there are sata HDD are there?
@SexualPolytope@lemmy.sdf.org in the US, but I prefer to have a server in places with better user protections… AFAIR they do have a data center in Hillsboro, OR, but IDK about what specific offer they have there.
@SexualPolytope@lemmy.sdf.org I use hetzner and it looks fine to me
@Shimitar@feddit.it I would use obsidian, but for really self hosted I would try silverbullet
@tulpa@fosstodon.org @selfhosted@lemmy.world @selfhost@lemmy.ml thanks! That is probably the right solution
@mfat@lemdro.id good luck and report back how it goes! :-)
@mfat@lemdro.id I would try an ssh tunnel… not the best solution (you need to configure it as a SOCKS proxy and specify ports, etc), but worth a try.
@ALostInquirer@lemm.ee Not much tbh, I host email, a git server, activitypub, change detector, healthchecks, libreddit and another dozen of services in 3 different servers.
Every now and then I check manually the backups, because it is the sane thing to do. Also I try some new services on docker, but that is less and less common tbh.
@theywilleatthestars@lemmy.world synchronicity II by the police or Panama by Van Halen, those are the first memories I have of songs I liked
@DenizEfe@lemm.ee that is a good question! I would say as HTML because it is easier to do post processing (e.g., extract), but you will probably lose the layout (libraries and css will go 404, etc). If the amount is not too large, why not both?
@JoeKrogan@lemmy.world I think it is a cautionary tail for people when they reach 40: don’t eat late or something bad will happen… monsters or… INDIGESTION 😱😱😱😱
