Don’t think I know all that vocab by heart, I’ve been using a dictionary to write, I haven’t studied German in 10 years and my vocabulary is melting away XD. I was just trying to speak german to be respectful of the community’s language and to be accessible to everyone here.

oh, keine Sorge, der deutsche Staat hat Griechenland nichts Besonderes finanziert und wird auch nichts finanzieren. Griechenland hat mehr als seinen Anteil zurückgezahlt. Tatsächlich wird es von billigen Arbeitskräften profitieren. Aber darum geht es hier nicht. Ein schwaches Griechenland ist eine Belastung für die EU. Und die Last fällt am meisten auf den Anführer. Das hat Schäuble damals nicht verstanden, heute jedoch schon.

Für mein ganzes Leben habe ich von der griechischer Staat nur die absoluten Grundlagen bekommen. Und jetzt, da ich erwachsen bin, wird von mir erwartet, dass ich Militärdienst leiste, und arbeite sechs Tage pro Woche für nur eintausend euro pro Monat. Ich bin ein Programmierer, mit einem Masters-Abschluss, und kann ich sehr gut Englisch, gut genug Schwedisch und ein bisschen Deutsch. Wie erwarten sie dass ich in Griechenland bleibe? Wie erwarten sie dass ich ein neues Geschäft eröffnen mit Steuern höher als Skandinavien? Sie erwarten nichts von mir, ein griechischer Staatbürger. Sie erwarten, dass amerikanische und israelische Unternehmen hier Geschäft eröffnen, so dass sie ihren Angestellten fast nichts zahlen.

Ich werde nicht hier bleiben. Ich stimme mit meiner Anwesenheit ab.

It’s neuter in greek, even though “machine” is feminine, cause the greek word is like “washer” instead of “washing machine”. Although I think you have better things to ponder about when writing greek.

The new one looks so much better than that overdetailed crap, I don’t want a painting, I want an easily discernable icon. Also, I can’t believe we’re still doing Firefox so many years after its new logo debuted, especially since Thunderbird just changed their logo. In my opinion, it seems like people are just reiterating the same joke some bloke did without even looking up the why and how. And before you ask, yes I prefer the new Thunderbird logo too, it’s much more discernable.

The front part of the pole wouldn’t pull the back part of the pole more so than in any normal contiguous space. If you send a pole flying from the front and catch it mid-flight from the back stopping its motion, you’ll have to apply a force opposite in direction to the motion of the pole, and by Newton’s third law (every action has an equal and opposite reaction) it’s gonna pull you towards the direction it’s moving by reactionary force while decelerating.

In the case if moving portals, it might be a bit confusing, but what it comes to teleportation through the portals, the portals are absolutely stationary the world around them moves. And in the case only one of the two portals move relative to the ground, not only does the world move relative to both portals, it also deforms in a non-euclidean manner. That is why the pole that was stationary relative to the ground suddenly started moving after coming out the portal. And yes, it would require massive amounts of energy for the portal to function like that and keep its own momentum relative to the ground after teleporting things, but tbh that’s a woe for Aperture science, not mine 🙂
