Nope. Still propaganda. It has a negative cultural connotation but any form of persuasive rhetoric fits the basic definition of propaganda.
And I think restricting context and acting like anything started recently is an inaccurate way to frame what’s going on. This conflict has been going on far longer than a week. Wars don’t just pop up out of nowhere, they are based on context from before the war.
Hamas didn’t exist at the start of the conflict actually. They formed in response to and with funding from Israel in the 80s and 90s.
Probably because they’re a tankie actually. The kind of person whose ideology makes their perspective on America intensely hypocritical. It also incentives them to frame the situation disingenuously.
Obviously getting bombed and losing two full cities had nothing to do with their calculations of course, it could never be a complex situation with many angles. It was only because a country that spent tens of millions of lives fighting another front declared war. The nation that they recently trounced in their last encounter. Nothing to do with city erasing wmds.
Ps if you care about the worst casualties talk about the Tokyo firebombing. Blows the nuke death count out of the water but it wasn’t flashy so debate bros don’t care.
So the answer is “because you felt like it”. Not sure why they got snarky about it
I get that we all think entertainment products should be free but in a capitalist economy server space costs money. To deliver and maintain petabytes of data takes vast resources and in our society, those resources cost money. They keep it running through direct payment or auctioning ad space. So if you don’t want to get premium then they still need to pay for the upkeep of the service you’re using for free. Thus ads.
I get that you have no experience trying to play this game skillfully and don’t really care about the concept of fair competition but I can promise you, the competitive players would still dunk on you with every mechanic turned on. Because without the gimmicks you actually have to learn the base mechanics to win which Carrie’s to any game mode.
They know more about the game then you so they know how abusable the item system can be and how obstructive stage hazards can get. They’re looking to compete, not just dick around with friends so of course they’d look for the most equal ground to see who’s better.
There’s a time for both tbh. If you want to just fuck around then items and stuff are a lot of fun. But if you’re playing from a competitive mindset many of these mechanics get in the way of the parts of the game they love the most. In fact, I think my experience playing without items made me more effective with them when I played with people that wanted them turned back on.
The important thing is that you play the rule set everyone playing will have fun with. That’s why the customization of rules has always been pretty in depth.
The only times a Nintendo console wasn’t backwards compatible at least one generation was when they changed the hardware that Roms ran on. GC played on Wii which played on WiiU. As long as new switch keeps the cartridges it should be compatible.
Actually I bring this up because when talking about famines people love to downplay the strife caused by capitalists maximizing profit and socializing loses.
Ironically your last paragraph is a pretty accurate paraphrasing of the usual dialogue around capitalisms faults.
Modern Russian is a capitalist oligarchy. Your entire position is based on ignorance of how the world functions.
The question becomes then, are those stable democracies threatened? I would argue no, that you’re using irrelevant examples to prove your position.
American capitalism was threatened to an extent by Bernie’s campaign and a contemporary cnn headline compared his “rise” to that of Hitler. So you tell me. Do they get defensive when actual leftist principles are on the line. Looks to me that it is the case.
I’m glad you answered in their stead. Obviously you’re the kind of person to steel man arguments to truly show their weaknesses and strengths. You’d never regurgitate boiler plate talking points from people opposed to the ideology.
Never look up how many famines have been overseen by capitalist countries btw. It’d make your comparison lack any meaningful difference. India was run by the east India trading company when they had the bengal famine after all. And don’t forget how the Irish “potato” famine happened. (The British made it a crime to keep any non potato crop for themselves).
Look up some stats. More people that lived during the stable years miss it compared to the economic unrest they face now.
I would say you’re arguing from ignorance then. The civil war in America happened because slavers didn’t like the outcome of an election.
It’s about threatening mob violence if “you try it in a small town”. Various actions are included such as actual crimes or disrespecting a police officer. It also throws in a line about how gubmint wants all your guns and they’ll totally act on that any day now so buy as many guns and as much ammo as you can.
Keeping people like this off the road is one of the biggest reasons why every place needs robust public transportation systems.
