Actually a bear is very unlikely to come after you. I come from an extremely rural part of Alberta, Canada, and large bears would sometimes wander in and near town. They wouldn’t run around swiping people up and murdering them, they would just basically wander around eating garbage and looking for food. The reality is that if you were in the woods with a random bear, unless it was starving or you were near its Cubs, it likely wouldn’t see you as important.

I’ll tell you what though. The bodies of indigenous women would get found in the woods sometimes. Bears didn’t put them there, men did.

  • I grew up in rural Canada. A guy I knew was drunk in the woods with friends and tried to ride a young deer that came up to them(the deer got used to people in that area feeding them, something that is not recommended) annnnnnd it beat the shit out of him and his 6 friends. He got a bad concussion and lost sight in one of his eyes.

Don’t fuck with animals. They are built different.

I bought Sync Pro for Reddit, and I’ll do the same for Lemmy. Open-source can suck a butt, I’m willing to pay for a well made app

Edit: lmao the replies! To be clear, I am not talking shit on open source software, the “open source can go suck a butt” comment was in reference to taking the time to get used to a new app when I don’t have to 😝 Go touch grass. Sync treated me well, I’m willing to pay the creator to have that same experience on Lemmy. That’s it. Stop being defensive, go for a walk.
