I’d rather be the “dad, can you find this for me?” guy, and then when they’re older and start talking about wanting to set up their own Plex server or something I’ll show them how to do it, if they even want to. I would be perfectly happy being the perma media pirate for my family.

To be fair, this person could be using a business printer. Large multifunction printers offices use can cost $10k+ and require A LOT of work so small companies and firms that can’t outright afford the upkeep usually lease the printer and that lease comes with warranties and maintenance covered by the company its leased from.

She has used LGBT and BIPOC representations and culture (and has stereotyped and downplayed issues in some cases) in her videos and concerts that make her millions of dollars annually, and yet never uses her platform to truly advocate for these groups she claims to care for greatly. It doesn’t help that she has been called out for racial insensitivity, and faux posturing of “helping” groups, over, and over, and over.

Not the fact that she capitalises off of LGBT+ and Black culture but stays silent regarding issues those communities face, despite her massive audience and the influence she has over them. Or the fact that she literally flies constantly, which is awful for the environment, but also rents out her jet when she’s not using it.
