What’s wrong with rougelikes in your opinion? I don’t usually seek them out, but for a good while I was super addicted to Binding of Isaac. I think the gameplay loop is pretty fun.
The rest of your comment I agree with wholeheartedly.

If “A Major” in the title was intentional, then bravo!
Honestly I’d be exited to be able to meet the composer anyway, and maybe give him a pat on the head.
ME TOO! MY BIG BROTHER SAID IT’S CAPS UNLOCK BUT I CAN’T FIND THAT KEY ANYWHERE.
That’s perfectly valid. With the gold thing, I was referring to the fact that people say it verbatim as I typed, (seemingly) every time. IMO it feels less genuine when someone doesn’t thank another using their own words.
By the way, your respectful disagreement is another reason why I like Lemmy. Courtesy seems to be more common over here :D
Along with everyone else’s great points, I’m so glad I don’t have to suffer through another “thanks for the gold, kind stranger!” Or yet another painful comment chain of “puns” that are more like weak rhyming/word association, often reusing the same tired phrases. That entire place is so boring and uncreative.
Long live Lemmy!
I hope you don’t expect their next OS to be good, whether they call it 12 or otherwise. Skip all Windows from now on, IMO
Your use of “OOP” and “functional” threw me for a loop for a second, then I remembered this isn’t about programming. I should get some extra sleep tonight.
A book by Dr. Seuss
Neat! That reminds me of this thing I saw years ago. I wonder if the underlying phenomenon is the same.
That’s some pretty blatant cherry picking, but I’m sure it’s to emphasize the humor of the source video.
Putting that aside, I’ve never been a fan of the Genesis sound chip. It’s way too harsh and buzzy for my poor ears. I respect the opinion of people who love it, but I feel for the parents who had to tolerate hearing that every day.
Of course I was no better about not being annoying, especially when I would literally run around in circles while the end-of-stage music for Yoshi’s Island played on a loop.
One of my first smartphones could do that as well. I don’t pay for streaming services and I don’t have infinite data like most people seem to have, so I dearly miss that kind of feature. The corporate overlords have decided that free is bad.

This guy’s down
We should be thankful that this thing hasn’t been conjured into the real world.
You and your friend just casually met one of my favorite comedians/actors… Some people have all the luck. Well, at least this comment places me at (a very tenuous) two degrees of separation :)
Any noteworthy encounters with Cleese?
Edit because I misread
I’m also talking out of my ass, but it could be because on a subconscious level it reminds us of being in the womb when all sounds were perceived through basically a low pass filter.
I’m all for this pickleposting movement! Gonna buy a jar of em when I get off work.
Or is that just what Big Pickle wants?
I don’t think I could find it, but there’s a different, older version of this meme with the same pic. The punchline is indeed the first part of this one, but it was done in a much more subtle way and didn’t ruin the joke by spelling it out with “murder instead of suicide.”
Shame on whoever stole the joke and then not only told it badly, but ended it with necrophilia.
