High school graduation. There was really nothing to do about it, sitting through all the long speeches, in piercing pain. Ran straight for the stalls after.

I had a good experience with implants, but you need to know what you’re getting yourself into. It’s a big chain, and they make money on volume. You’re not going to get the same level of individual care.

Multiple times throughout the day. I co-work on personal projects with several different LLMs. Primarily Claude, but also GPT-4o and Llama 70b.
My boss does not give me busy work and my work is important, but I still phone it in.
Like others have mentioned, it’s a book. I recommend reading it. Also another dystopian novel, “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley. Lessons to be learned from both.
There’s the old Nike slogan “Just do it” that captures the idea while having positive connotations.

Like a lot of other posters, not hard at all. I miss /r/Daddit. I miss /r/Datahoarder but the selfhosted community here is strong and seems to have absorbed some home networking, datahoarder, etc topics.
Poor thing! Thank you for caring and trying to help it.
Thanks for digging for the informative part of the link.
Aw yep, that’s the other big problem, moderation.
I feel like peertube could really use some sort of Lemmy driven community engagement
Agreed. Lemmy and Kbin have been getting a lot of attention lately, and Mastodon is the elephant in the room. But I hear little about Peertube instances. I think they would be a perfect fit in the Lemmy universe.
The one problem I see is cost. Lemmy serves text. Peertube would store and serve video. Lots of it. That’s a big bill.
Sure they are. But the amount of info in the fediverse right now is minuscule to say R*ddit. It will take time and growth before we start seeing fediverse stuff show up regularly in search.
Maybe a bot would be useful to detect when a post is a support question, and reply with links to the support communities? Unfortunately I don’t think newcomers will read the pinned post or previous posts about this that have come up.
The “pay what you can” model from Piotr is pretty stunning. I’m glad the project qualifies for that.
The highest costs are servers. No surprise there.
Glad he has allocated money for legal and accounting advice.
I hope he can eventually raise enough money to pay himself.
Yeah it’s been fun! I’ve set up self-hosting of several fediverse projects and have learned a lot.
Play video games. Make myself go outside for twenty minutes a day. Do some stretches as exercise. Hope my daughter visits me.
