I like to think of it as co-habitation. Your “instincts” guide you well because that’s your brains way of saying “okay, look dumbass I know you’re in control right now so let me make you feel some fear so you stop and try to assess the situation a bit more.”

You can fight this you know. There are a lot of great YouTube video tutorials by MentalOutlaw that will help you tighten down your security settings and make it more difficult to identify and track you across the internet.

Does this come at a high cost of convenience? Absolutely. Most of my security settings break websites by default since I restrict all 3rd party apps and JavaScript. It takes me a good couple minutes to play around and see what is causing the issue.

If I can’t figure out how read your site without handing over a bunch of access, I move to the 2nd or 3rd site that usually gives me what I want without changing any settings at all.

10,000 users who searched these terms also decided to search or want this “thing” next.

“Woah, it’s reading my mind! How did it know I was thinking about that?!”

It’s funny, nobody pays attention when the algorithm guesses wrong, we only notice it when it’s freakishly accurate.

I don’t consider myself to be very good looking. My teeth are a bit crooked. I’m a bit pudgy ever since I left the military and to be honest, I am a terrible dresser. Comfort over everything else is my motto. I’m not attractive.

I’ve never had issues meeting or dating girls. I try to be myself, honest and try to be a good partner. I haven’t always been the best at any of those things but I think most women look past my flaws and see that I’m a decent person with a good heart just looking for someone to spend our limited time with here in earth. I think that makes me desirable to a lot of women.

At least in my experience it has. I’m married now to a woman who wanted just that so it worked out for me.

I find it annoying that Lemmy users make posts like this in self reference. This isn’t Reddit. You aren’t containerized to Lemmy. We can all see you from inside the fediverse.

I love public transportation. The only time I was ever uncomfortable about myself or my wife using it was during the pandemic.

There was the Covid concerns but the real problem I had was crime rates skyrocketed in the downtown area where we usually exchanged buses. So we stopped doing that and bought bicycles to ride instead for awhile.
