Confusion like this got me my current job. They were looking for somebody with experience in “Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager”, and I look that up and I’m like “Oh, that’s SCCM, I do that”. Go through the interview process they keep asking me if I know Endpoint Configuration Manager and I’m like “yeah, for sure”. I get the job. Day one, the other systems engineer is like “here is the link to our Endpoint Manager Tenant”, and I’m like “oh… Shit I have never ever used this”

Well… Ends up Endpoint Configuration Manager and Endpoint Manager are two different things. Fortunately for me they are pretty similar in function and rely on knowledge of Windows and Powershell, which I know.

So my first 2 weeks of work was taking a shitload of courses in Endpoint Manager and watching a lot of videos and learning it inside and out.

2 years later and I’m an Endpoint Manager/Intune pro.

I don’t understand why anything anti capitalism these days is automatically communism. It’s such a large swing from one side to the other. I just want my taxes to pay for healthcare, infrastructure, and education instead of wars and prisons. I want to stop getting fucked by corporations that have infinitely more money than I can ever imagine. I don’t think that makes me a communist. I’m just anti-fucking-the-people. Capitalism can fuck people. Communism can fuck people too. I support Corpo-Politico-Celibacism. Stop the fucking.

Similarly I have a discord server with friends. One of the text channels on that server is dedicated to sharing links to music. One of my friends has very similar music tastes and posts stuff I have never heard. No idea how he finds it, but it certainly makes it easier for me to find new stuff.

I plucked these in my brother in laws backyard yesterday, and this post is now giving me doubts…

Edit: the picture of the morels I found is not uploading for some reason… But yeah, I’m like 99.99% sure they are morels.

Additionally, the whole popcorn lung scare was fear mongering at its best. Popcorn lung is called that because people who worked in popcorn factories used to get it after years of breathing in diacetyl for 40+ hours a week which was an ingredient used in the butter flavoring for popcorn. On top of that, traditional cigarettes contain diacetyl as well, at way higher levels than e cigarettes ever did, but you never heard of a smoker getting popcorn lung.

I’m not saying that vaping is harmless, it certainly is too early to know if there are any long term effects, but as of right now the only negative impact they can truthfully say is that e cigarettes cause anxiety as if anxiety among the general public isn’t at an all time high anyway.

There was a huge smear campaign against a potential life saving device because big tobacco started losing boat loads of money. Pretty fucked.

Yup, I’ve noticed that spanner screws (the two dots) are usually found on elevator control panels. There is no reason that somebody should be able to open those up with a Swiss army knife.

I hate slot screws because they are easy to slip out of, and the place that I find them the most is always outlet covers. Like… What the fuck? Why are you gonna put the most easy to slip out of screw next to the most dangerous to slip into hole?!
