All melodies are free and open source. At best we can say an entire composition is copyrighted. If I take a composition I like and then make a new composition from it, it’s ok, but if a computer does it it’s not? That cannot be. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the direction things will go.

I’m all for the concept but their assets are 3 houses, 5 cars, a plane, 5 paintings, and a massive company or two. How the fuck you going to split that amonst the masses? You can’t, and I bet if the business becomes a co-op it fails.

There is no product on the market I could find (with a normal price that isn’t some $15,000 super toilet) that will open and close the lid and then flush for you. There are automatic seats, but they are timed such that it’s completely unreasonable to stand and wait for them to close before flushing.

Buying should be ownership to use for personal use in perpetuity. So in that sense downloading a copy of something you’ve paid a purchase license for should never be illegal.
