  • I guess they forgot that people like Martin Luther King Jr. got shot and killed for speaking out against these so called “high T, alpha males.”

Being proud of using intimidation tactics is fucking weird and pathetic. Blaming it on garbage pseudo science lowers the bar into degeneracy. THEN turning it into victim blaming…“you’re too weak to have anything worthwhile to contribute” is just… wow.

Evolutionary psychology was an interesting hypothesis, but it will never recover from these dipshits utilizing it as the loudest dog whistle in history…used to justify sexism and bigotry. I wish they’d all get in elons rocket and be the first people to land on the sun.

  • The animal industry feeds the plants as much as the plants feed the animals. I’m not sure how vegans feel about synthetic fertilizer like miracle grow, but that’s what will have to be used in place of manure if the meat industry goes away.

Many of the organic crops grown use animal manure to fertilize the plants. I know you can use seaweed and other plants for compost(weeds are already composted back in via tilling, seaweed requires harvesting from the ocean or long distance shipping from farms), as well as cycling crops to prevent nutrient deficiency…

BUT manure doesn’t just add nutrients. It adds beneficial bacteria that helps keep the soil healthy and make the nutrients bioavailable to plants. It conditions the soil for water retention, and helps break up clay soil and add organic matter to sandy soil.

Will vegans keep animals just for manure? Or will organic lables on food be less important? Are we going to start scraping the forests for leaves to chop up an add to farm soil? That can’t be good for forests though. I guess I’m just confused about how to maintain large farms without access to large amounts of manure.

  • Regardless of whatever the case may be, men should be encouraged to protect their sexual health.

Women have gynecologists they see to monitor and do preventative care, discuss birth control methods ect.

Men don’t typically see a urologist unless theres an issue, and because of that there are less opportunities for them to ask questions, or be educated about STI’s and ways to protect themselves. Or know the potential long term risks of common STIs or even the symptoms.

Add to that common misconceptions about condoms, user error while using them, and cultural attitudes and men are kinda set up to not use them in way. Men’s health is important. I worry for my nephews who are getting into their early 20’s. I hope what I tried to teach them makes a difference.

  • This comes from my own observations, and might not be a popular take, but men are often encouraged or celebrated for having multiple partners and not using protection.

This attitude puts men(especially young men) at risk for STI’s, some of which can affect fertility even if a course of antibiotics will take care of it. Others don’t have cures yet, or are not as easy to treat like herpes, the different hepatitis strains, HIV, genital warts ect.

This attitude towards sex for men puts their health at risk and their partners.

The amount of times I’ve seen dudes encourage each other to not use condoms is kinda distressing. I don’t think guys are being educated on how a condom should fit and how to find the right size. They shouldn’t be uncomfortable. If they are try a different kind.

Women often have to try different birth control pills until they find one with minimal side effects. Try different condoms until you find the right ones for you. It’s to protect your dick from diseases, not just to stop pregnancy.

Take care of yourselves guys. Your health is important.

  • That was a wonderfully in depth explanation! Thank you! I have a lot to think about(in a good way)

I also wish we could have more wildlife sanctuaries without the power plants basically forcing them into existence, but I guess I’m at the point where I’ll take what we can get. However, I shouldn’t forget that we can do better too.

Hopefully we as a species can figure out our energy problems globally… and work together on it instead of fighting each other over which one is best.

Thank you again for your really informative answer! I really appreciate it!!

  • What’s your opinion on smaller scale power plants? It seems like a decent way to cut the costs and still get that extra power in those seasonal low power periods. Or do you think it’s not worth pursuing at all?

I’m in the US which is quite large. I’ve always thought small scale power plants in conjunction with solar and wind would be good.

Especially since a lot of states turn the land surrounding the power plant into wildlife sanctuaries since nothing can be built in the safety zone anyway.

It’s like bird watching heaven at the power plant near me. I guess I just really like the idea of a power source that also incidentally protects forested areas.

Actually a lot of organic farms rely on blood and bone meal, manure and fish emulsion fertilizers. They’re inexpensive as they’re byproducts of other industries and are very good for plants.
When I worked in an organic greenhouse I often wondered about how vegans would feel about farmers using animal based fertilizers. We definitely told people what we used, as we sold those products, but no one ever said anything about it. I guess vegans can’t control that so maybe it’s a nonissue unless they grow their own food and use seaweed based fertilizer(more expensive) instead?

  • It’s okay, that’s how I feel about the monster hunter games. Just couldn’t get into them. I also found the weird dimorphism that the monster hunter armor had off putting. I wanted my woman character to have real armor, not a bikini. I get some people like that, but it wasn’t for me.

The gameplay wasn’t as fun as I anticipated, and I can’t place my finger on why. It’s weird… I WANT to like those games but just don’t find them enjoyable.

Sometimes we just just don’t vibe with a game. It happens!
