I think what you see on the main page (at the bottom right, just below the instance description/rules) is the instance’s specific stats.

Pixelfed can support videos, but it has some restrictions which doesn’t make it very accessible.

By the way, “old” is simply based on mlmym.org, which you can use with other instances than lemmy.world, if wanted.
It would still be better to have multiple “large” servers, instead of only one or two, which is currently the case. I really don’t think that it is a good thing to have a big difference between the biggest and the next biggest servers, as it effectively centralizes the content around the biggest instance.
I however agree that it doesn’t make sense to have tons of tiny instances.
Yeah. I use KeepassXC on my computers and KeepassDX on my phone. All synced with syncthing and it works great.
