I have an IT company, and believe the same. We’re all working remote, and we organize competitions regularly like who is doing the most interesting sports, making the most progress, being the most consistent, etc.
I think it’s also important for the long term sustainability of the team too, we want people to have healthy lifestyle balances and not burn out.
I was glad to see that meme to remember the anecdote. Valuable info in these times.
I know it’s all messed up and just in case I’m not ok’ing racism that’s for sure.
I saw news reporting about it at the time, and if I recall correctly her descendants were actually proud of her being the mascot and thought it was cool.
I like that they are very critical of Trump and the Republican party , but because they are from the world the have insight into its thinking and mechanics. Hearing their insights is illuminating.
Yeah agreed, if they would have gone into gaslight mode I would have been super disappointed. I still worry they could falter long term.
My favorite is The Bulwark (ex-Republican never-Trumpers), I think they’re great. Also fans of Pod Save America (ex Obama staff). I found a new one I highly recommend called “2Way” from journalist Mark Halperin and it’s a Republican-based but mixed bunch, pretty cool.
That’s wise, good ideas!
Wow great thoughts, I’ll learn from this here for sure.
Thank you I’ll check it out today.
Wow thank you for the info, very insightful. I’ve always been interested in Burning Man but live to far away!
Ha true, good point. Buddhism can be a little atheistic, I believe, the Buddha isn’t an actual deity for most adherents. (I think…?)
Ah gotta get Festivus on the calendar! I like the rules idea too, maybe a few super random things just to be quirky.
I don’t think we need more religion, no. I think people would like options with less archaic ideas, and that they would like the community and activity that religious groups can offer if the strange belief requirements can be left behind.
I’d make it atheistic, include meditation and be proactive with volunteering or useful projects.
There’s a lot to love here, a lot to love.
All those pockets too small to carry a phone.
