I don’t think the title translated correctly for me.

I know there was an issue not long ago where Sopuli had to defederate from kbin for awhile. Kbin had a federation bug that was endlessly spamming federation updates and it was causing Sopuli to fall behind on federation.
Mbin had a fix up pretty quick, but several attempts to reach the Kbin admin all failed.
There’s also the issue of being fingerprinted. An unfortunate truth of the internet is that most browser/device set ups are unique, and it makes it possible to track people that way. Having features like “do not track” turned on actually make you more unique, making it easier to confidently identify you when you visit sites. It probably doesn’t matter though, in my experience basically every web browser/computer is recognized as a unique user now (with maybe the exception of using a popular mobile browser on a popular mobile phone model).
Anyways, visit https://www.amiunique.org/ to have your hopes of being anonymous crushed.
Where did you get that emoji?
That does bring up the question of if the Steam Deck counts as a handheld console or not. Going off the wikipedia descriptions of game consoles and handheld consoles, I think it probably counts.
I think Sony just delisted Ghost of Tsushima from all countries where PSN isn’t available, even though it’s primarily a single player game that won’t require PSN.
So Sony is still on their bullshit, even though they conceded over Helldivers.
Unpopular opinion, but the extra “iss” is unnecessary for reading the word, and with this being a newspaper article they have limited headline space.
Clearly this is just efficient debloating of the article title.
Yeah, my wife wanted to watch it together and we got burned out on the repeated catastrophes. At some point they move onto dramatic plot disasters that include a bunch of the hospital staff, to make it more exciting. The show went on for a ton of seasons after we dropped it, so presumably they found some way to make it even more dramatic than a disaster that kills a 3rd of the hospital every season finale.
Watching the show on netflix was also bad for emotional whiplash. They would build all season up to two doctors confessing their love in the season finale, and then immediately in the next episode (new season) they would be broken up again. I suspect it felt more natural with the delay between seasons in-between episodes, but watching them back to back like that felt jarring.
Yeah, I don’t know why Firefox on Mobile gives me so many issues.
The year is 2051. The Witcher 9 live service game is coming out this year, and it’s supposed to be the industry’s first A x 10^14 game, but Ubisoft has shattered expectations by announcing that their next Assassins Creed will be A x 10^16, skipping an entire generation of A’s.
I’m sure a company will start offering ai models for this kind of thing.
I’m less experienced with LLM, but with stable diffusion you can have a main model, and then have smaller detail specific models added in to shape the results. So I would imagine a company will start offering a service where they have base language models with certain amounts of general knowledge/styles of speech, and can mix in smaller models trained on the lore of the world, character’s individual history, and things like that.
No one can tell the difference between 60 and 62 degrees F.
This is true in the sense that someone can’t walk into a room and say “it’s 62F in here” accurately, but if you’re in a room that’s 60F and you raise the temperature to 62F you can definitely feel the difference.
Wikipedia has a good article on it, including photos of what the marks look like. They’re practically invisible to the naked eye, getting them to show up usually requires additional steps like taking high quality scans and running them through some color filters, or using a UV light.
From the EFF coverage of it, it sounds like every laser printer probably prints these marks now. I’m not sure if inkjets or other printer types do or not.
Yeah same. I find I mentally do a lot better by improving things I can change rather than stressing over things I can’t.

The difference is that if I forget to put the toilet seat down, she can fall in.
Vs if she forgets to put the seat up, I just pee all over the toilet seat.
Yeah, weird to see someone who appreciates the end key but not the home key.
The earth is a moving object, so all portals are moving through 3d space at all times.
Thank you!
Truthfully it was pretty low effort to make, but I appreciate it anyways.
I’ve been using this website to monitor federation status between Sopuli and lemmy.world:
https://grafana.lem.rocks/d/bdid38k9p0t1cf/federation-health-single-instance-overview?orgId=1&var-instance=sopuli.xyz&var-remote_instance=lemmy.world&from=now-12h&to=now
You can set it to any two Lemmy instances, and it offers a lot of good info, especially when one instance is falling behind.
