  • I concur. I used to be able to leave a huge gap and nobody would care. I drove a manual and didn’t want the hassle of stopping. But, I tried this recently, and I ended up making the fast lane the slow lane and I had the guy behind me honking and yelling out his window to stop letting everyone in.

Piss off the wrong guy in Texas and see where that gets you. I was lucky all he did was honk and yell.

  • Ugh, the car!

I live in the heat. I have to start to car before hand, just to make it so the family doesn’t melt to the seats. It connects. I switch it back to my headset. I go back in the house to get stuff to load up, and I go out of range. Get back in range. It connects again. I switch it back to the headset. I forgot something…

Rinse and repeat like 5 times before I’m good to go. Whole time, I’m only catching every 10th word of whatever someone is saying to me on the phone, thinking it lost service, or they hung up on me.

    I hate auto connect.

  • Pretty sure Ted Bundy had a long time girlfriend. Didn’t she turn him in?

BTK was married and cub scout leader and president of his church.

The Golden State killer was married.

John Wayne Gacy had a wife for a bit. He was definitely murdering during his marrage. The wife couldn’t figure out the stench from the crawlspace.

Canadian serial killer Russel Williams was a colonel in the army and married.

5 out of how many? Ok, maybe op has a point.

  • Yeah. I mean, I figured out it was considered bad with the whole lizzy thing. Idk.

Mostly, it was the fact that I couldnt decide what to do in certain situations. So like, I’d open my mouth to talk, but then decide not to say anything and no words would come out, so it looked like weird, jerky movements. If I was really angry, I would be shaking. Stuff like that. I mean, it’s not like the description wasn’t semi accurate, I just didn’t have the disability that went with it.

  • I know not the point, but…

I tried entering the same name I use for the game for campfire and it told my that others would find it offensive, and refused to let me use it…it’s been a nickname of mine for something like 20 years

Still haven’t signed up for the standalone app…can’t figure out what else to call myself :/

  • Dude. Sciatica is the worst. Every once in a while I injure myself and can barely stand for days.

The only thing that helped was this old, Hispanic “healer man”, that massaged the nerve back into place. It’s not like woo woo healing and its not an actual massage. This man just knew anatomy really well and could feel everything out by touch alone. It took 15 mins and I was pain-free, although I had to go back a few times until it set. Hiking helped the muscles get strong enough to keep it in place.

I’ve gone to several other people that say they do similar things, including ones near the boarder, but they’ve never been able to fix it. Western Doctors were completely useless, they couldn’t even diagnose me properly. The next closest thing would probably be a sports massage therapist.

This man was apparently known far and wide, with people comming from other states to see him. Any one in my local hispanic community i mentioned it to, was familiar with him.

Sadly, he was old and stopped working his magic around the time covid started, due to him and his wife’s, unrelated, ailing health. I’ve been searching for someone else ever since. I’m sure there are others like him, there are definitely imitations. I have to assume someone else has excelled at this practice, and this old man wasnt just a one off.

If you have any contacts in the hispanic community, that may know of someone like him, I’d say it’s definitely worth a shot to at least ask around.

  • That was the general premise, but they definitely could have gone about it a different way. They cut everyone off, raised the price of passes, and keep adding more pay to play quests.

In my larger small town, even after this renewed push and the addition of campfire, there are still not enough people to successfully capture multiples of the most valuable pokemon.

Capturing the best pokemone requires at least 5 medium to high level players. Anytime we go into “town” to play, we just sit there staring at the screen waiting for even one more player to join in at any of handful of surrounding gyms. Very rarely (we could count on 1 hand) we happen across a group of people playing. By the time we get to the location they are supposed to be at, the group is long gone. I cant even imagine what disabled would have to go through to find other people. On top of this, it’s regularly over 100 degrees outside.

After the change, a whole bunch of new features that reward playing in person were added. They should have led with these features, gauged community engagement, and then consider moving away from remote participation. Instead, they went straight for all the ways they could alienate a large portion of their player base, while digging deep into the wallets of the ones who stayed.
