I think have settled into what they know.
I think that iMessage is only prevelant in North America. Here in Europe (Portugal, at least), everyone uses Whatsapp.

In my personal experience, everyone who has an account with Signal also has with Matrix. The main issue for me is who has an account at all.
So what you’re saying is… you like the next Hitler mentor and want to see Jews and Black people burn?

I use it for linux. Recently there was a bug where if you had a chat opened, it would pin one core to 100% usage. It also lacks feature parity with the mobile client (ex: gif search and send).
The thing it’s missing the most is better multi device support and an updated desktop client.
For me, I think Matrix is more complete (specially since it backs-up your chats and media encrypted). The only thing it’s lacking (at least Element specific) is encrypted chat search support on mobile.
Still, if you were sharing with 3 friends before, it’s a 4x price spike for you.
Yeah, and in cases where there is a monopoly or quasi-monopoly of a product it becomes really exploitative.
But in this case in particular, I’m gonna have to say it’s the fault of the users.
They chose to pay more for a worst product that had already been declining in quality steadily, when there are tons of other streaming services with good content.
I mean, the Netflix password sharing crackdown was a vote put on the users to decide if it’s a good thing to do or not.
And it appears that the results are good, since they are reporting subscriber growth and more revenue. Now every other service will follow because, otherwise, they’d just be wasting untapped profits.
I don’t like this profit maximization companies are trying to do, but one thing is clear: people prefer to pay more for the extra convenience than to stand their ground in their principals.
Even if people like us stand our ground, most won’t even care (I can see it in my personal relationships as well).
In the middle of this controversy there is just one thing I don’t really understand: why haven’t they banned the offending account?
Oh please. The only thing a college professor would do is crack a skull of a person that is just talking about freedom with a bike lock and then run like the coward he is.
Within the context of the thread, it seemed to me that you were dismissing me implying that you don’t need proof of anything to call them nazis. Now I understand better that that wasn’t the intention and I’m sorry for it.
As for the uri, it’s https://exploding-heads.com/
Everybody in this post is calling the server nazis.
I went there and at least in the frontpage there were only edgy right wing memes and some normal posts. But no white supremacy stuff or something related to that.
So I asked if someone could show me the posts that made them call the server nazis. And instead of a reply, I only got downvotes. Because god forbid you ask people why they consider others nazis.
You’re right. Just call everybody the names you want regardless if they are accurate or not. If it’s fashionable enough it will stick everytime, so who cares right?
What were some of the absurd stories she told and how do you know they’re not real?
I’m asking this because it’s my understanding that it’s hard getting information from there for either side.
I did a quick check of the frontpage of the server and didn’t find anything that extreme. Can you show me some nazi related posts?
What if a person creates a new type of clothing that has high demand because it’s better than what exists before?
What if that person starts getting interest from other people who want the clothes and they try to trade currency (I’m not sure if in your communist system this exists, so consider other items people have or something) and then transactions start to happen?
What if the person gets so busy, he gets another person to help him with the trades in exchange for a fixed amount?
In which of these steps does it turn from “no one cares what you do with your own labor” to “give us your business or else”?
I want someone to enlighten me on this, because my impression was that the democrats were the ones on board with bombing for Ukraine and republicans wanted to cut that spending (publicly, cause both parties love that war spending for their buddies to make money from).
