I think it’s also in reference to people getting fired over zoom. Also, it could be referencing how gen z will record their firings now and post them to tiktok to shame the company, LOL. I love gen z!

Later in this thread, someone talked about encountering houses that didn’t have numbers on them.
The 30 minutes or it’s free deal really became dangerous and was discontinued. Still, learning the city map by heart and combing through unlabeled houses was impressive.
I’m sorry, friend! When I looked at this post, I thought it would be funnier if it was spelled like “jhoes.” I guess this one performed better because it eased people into it whereas you outright went there.
I wonder how good it would feel… Asking for a friend
I feel like you’re 100% right, it has to be. The person calls themselves “Hot Take Harry.” I feel transphobic idiots would get mad at this tweet too.
That’s great. Also, the Kentucky Wildcats’ logo looks like two birds fucking.
Sadly, it’s most likely Barnes & Noble Education since most universities have outsourced their bookstores to them. At least my university now offers free textbooks to students but Barnes & Noble Education runs the logistics of it.
At this point, they can completely fuck off because I have old.lemmy.world now
After looking it up, you can find reports from others stating the same things. When I was there as a kid, I remember that they claimed no one knew where the source of the water came from… I guess they actually know enough to help it out at least, lol
I really enjoyed it and would like to go again, but it’s no Mammoth Cave.
For me, I subscribe to all the multiple ones of the same topic and let time sort out their popularity.
Too late, they saw how successful it was for Trump.
Trump was (and, fuck, maybe will be again) elected president. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. As of right now, no he can’t since he isn’t natural born, but hell, it’s not impossible to have the constitution amended, just very unlikely.
I remember after Trump was elected, I stopped watching House of Cards (I think this was before Spacey’s indiscretions were mainstream public) because reality really became stranger and scarier than fiction.
At the end of the day, making money is the most important thing, but it’s also a nuke for Microsoft’s arsenal if they ever need it.
I guess it’s a good sign that the Fediverse is growing! :) -_-;
I hope not. I remember a time in which you needed to know something in order to enjoy the Internet and I kinda hope this place remains less approachable by normies, but attractive to those who love technology. I feel this is like how IRC was in the 90s.
Wait… FB/Meta is going to create instances? Somehow I missed this news and I’ll be trying to look this up after by post.
Anyway, yes they should not be allowed. They have a vested interest to destroy the Fediverse. How would they do this? Well, Microsoft has pioneered this strategy known as Embrace, Extend, and Extinguish: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace,_extend,_and_extinguish. It’s much harder to apply these things to opensource, but we’ve all seen how much Microsoft has been Embracing Linux in the past 6-7 years.
idk, but for Lemmy/kbin/mastodon to be successful, it needs good word-of-mouth advertising. I didn’t end up on reddit because of an ad I saw somewhere.
On his planet, it’s called High-Fructose Infant Raymonds.
Ut! Aurelia Borealis?
