  • Our usual vet of 15 years is really good, and they would work with us.

This is an emergency practice he’s in right now, and if we can get the ball rolling, he’ll be transferred to a specialist in Bristol on Monday.

To be clear, we have insurance, the same as we do for all our animals. This is just a shit situation where we’ve had to go to an emergency vet, out of hours, and the level of care required has blown through the insurance cover like it was nothing.

For what it’s worth, I appreciate you replying. It feels like a living nightmare and it’s just nice to have people engaged. So thank you.

First of all, I’m sorry for your loss.

For what it’s worth, I actually clicked through the bullshit article which linked to the ‘study’, which was another page with it’s own perspective on the actual study, which was linked further.

My understanding of the actual study, was that there was a high degree of mortality in patients who ended up on ventilators.

The reality though, is that those patients were on ventilators because their own bodies weren’t breathing properly, so they likely would have died from suffocation anyway, whereas at least a ventilator gave an opportunity to prolong life and to treat against COVID.

I think OP is either a troll, or unfortunately not quite capable of understanding the realities of what SARS‑CoV‑2 actually is, and what it meant to real people who either had their lives irreversibly changed for the worse, or died due to complications arising from it.

In summary, OP is a cunt.
