You just made me well up. People can be so good.

I like the work Hard for yourself statement. As a 43 year old woman possibly dealing with a serious health issue (waiting on results) I wish I had worked harder for myself on prioritising my health over my work. Far too easy to put off dr appointments/dentist appontments/smears etc by rationalising that you can’t moss that meeting.
That was a satisfying, then infuriating story. Thank you!
Sounds like an upstanding citizen to me! More people should be like bear
You should look at why you ignored ALL your friends who tried to warn you. But better luck next time. X
Legit thought this was a bad joke about people mixing up AI (Artificial Intelligence) with Al Yankovic!
Yeah what if you plan to go on holiday, can you peak into that country or state’s instance ahead of time to see what things are happening? Can you join that instance while you’re physically on vacation?
Hahaha bananabrine, great description
DMVs are the absolute worst.
I did this at the MD state fair. It was fun :)
Scotland - you’ll get a pot of brewed tea or a cup with a black tea bag in. And some milk.
Please clarify, I’ve ued chrome for years with no real knowledge of the pros/cons
And then there’s me over here in the corner using Opera…
Me too. I’m the go to therapist for my friends and frequently get accused of being too understanding of the ‘other side’ (not in a obtuse way, even when I’m explaining situations I have been in). And then I throw V’s and fingers and yell out my passenger side window when you’re an obnoxious jerk forgetting to indicate or sitting in the middle of a lane, without hazards, blocking traffic. God my BP is rising just typing this comment.
Way easier than expected. I used to spend hours mindlessly scrolling on reddit, occasionally learning something useful but that was the exception. I suffer from anxiety so I genuinely had concerns about quitting reddit, but also recognised it was an unhealthy way to spend so much free time. I left on the first day of the protests and haven’t been back since. Was honestly surprised and impressed at myself for managing it so easily (rediscovered my love of crosswords and my kindle). Joined Lemmy 2 days ago, so still finding my feet but so far it scratches that itch of keeping a little bit in-the-loop with pop culture. (But with time limits firmly on this time!)
1700 dollar massage chair. I can barely move it but I love it so much. I might still get the odd personal massage but using the chair every night helps my sleep enormously and it definitely gets the kinks out.
