Story time! Back in the year of 1999 I took out a student loan for $5000. I didn’t actually need the money for that semester so I put the money directly into a CD that had like 4-5% interest on it. When I finally needed the money like 2 years later for my senior year of college, the interest on the CD had paid for the interest of the loan. More surprising I was able to fill out the loan paperwork and the CD paperwork at the same time with the help of a bank representative. These days I’ve had $4000 sitting in a rolling ladder CD for almost 8 years and barely made $200 back in interest. It’s pathetic and not really a mystery as to why people don’t bother to save money anymore.

Yea this one got a genuine laugh out of me. Poor soul.

I work mornings in the office and drive home on lunch break to wfh the rest of the day and all my best solutions pop into my head in that drive home. It’s great because it’s a quick break from work to get the brain percolating and then I can jump right into solving mode as soon as I get home.

You most definitely can overfeed scorpions and tarantulas. I believe the only time it is designed like that is for autologous donations. That is where you donate specifically for yourself ahead of time for a procedure. This is really helpful for people with special blood needs or religious exemptions but it’s not really done too often. The only other case I can think of off the top of my head is that new moms can have cord blood banked for personal future use or donate it to stem cell research.

Do you get lab tests done or annual vaccinations? Because many components used in these products are also provided from processing blood donations. Blood donations are never wasted as everything gets used for something in healthcare. Check out the AABB site for more information. Blood donations are a true gift.

I’d say good old fashion politeness like saying good morning, giving someone a (real) compliment, and other small random acts of kindness. You do it because you want to not because you expect something.

This reminds me of a running gag my husband and I have. One night while I was at work he called me to ask where I put the colander because he wanted to make macaroni. It must have been a weird sounding one-sided conversation to my coworkers because when I got off the phone one of them asked me if “where’s the colander” was out code word for “let’s have sex tonight.” I told my husband the story later and needless to say it became our code word for sexy times.

Maybe I’m just getting old, but these “special” flavors are just ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with regular old peeps. You want extreme peeps? Go play Pudgy Bunny and try not to choke; no special flavors required.

Okoye (Danai Guria) from the Black Panther movies. Went with my husband to see this movie and when we were walking back to the car he said “Damn, Okoye was hot, she reminds me of you.” ❤️ He also has a thing for Grace Mallory from the show The Boys. I think I created a monster.
