I think you’re confused. There is no warning letter, that’s just the takedown notice sent at the same time as the takedown.

It’s not just torrenting. Every user chooses what files they share, and these would be visible in search (and ranked by an internet speed transfer estimate), which makes discoverability a whole lot easier. If you want to download it, a direct transfer is initiated between that user and you computer only. You can also browse all files that a user has shared and chat with them about problems and whatnot (there also are chat rooms). Plus, since it’s not really torrenting apart from the concept, your download history isn’t targeted by popular tools that check out your activity on public trackers.

YouTube’s “official” music uploads (these that are a square with a blurred background behind the square) are acquired by paying DistroKid or record labels. Unofficial uploaders usually aren’t monetized, either bc they didn’t enable it、are niche、or got ContentID’d by YouTube. Those few that are monetized(e.g. Si𝚕vaGunner and Gi𝚕vaSunner (i.e. not Si𝙸vaGunner or Gi𝙸vaSunner)) usually get DMCA’d eventually.

Downloading from YouTube is piracy though, though like OP says some don’t think so for some reason.

I know nothing about Vaush, but I do know abut Aaron Swartz. In this archived page he argued for legalizing the possession and distribution (not sure if that contains production) of child porn since “We don’t arrest everyone with videotapes of murders, or make it illegal for TV stations to show people being killed” and all you need to get arrested is click on a download link or join an online group (no matter whether or not you delete it or if you knew it was child porn). He also says something about it not being abuse before arguing that.

Honestly I’m not sure what to think about that, but it still makes me think OP’s meme was put out to slander groups through strawmen. It does not help that I can’t figure out which parts of OP’s meme are satire.
