Right. Blocking people for no other reason than “I disagree” or “I don’t like that” turns the place in to an echo chamber. Like, if that’s what you want, fine, but one reason I left Reddit was to get out of the echo chamber.

There are loads of vegans that are lovely, reasonable people, but unfortunately they get shadowed by the much less reasonable outspoken ones.

In the UK, rent is substantially more than mortgage repayments.

Landlords will cry about their maintenance costs but I’ve never seen any maintenance that wasn’t the cheapest fix possible by a cowboy family friend.

It was a meme that started not long after the Reddit migration.

Very very boring imho but some people clearly loved it.

Funny thing is that caffeine is a dependancy drug. Those espressos aren’t perking you up, they’re just bringing you back to normal.

I found caffeine surprisingly easy to give up and unlike nicotine, I don’t miss it at all.

I get where you’re coming from, but rather than the “earth trying to kill us”, we are causing the earth to kill us through our own selfishness, willful ignorance and greed.

For me, if it’s in the house it’s getting drunk. I was lucky that my drinking wasn’t so bad that I could go cold turkey.

Weaning myself off doesn’t work for me, if I have one I’ll just keep going.

Now I only drink on the weekends which is a massive improvement for me.
