Does consulting for energy utilities helping them improve their mapping systems (GIS) count as IT? I do manage cloud infrastructure but also assist with all the various pieces and parts that go into digital maps and integrations.

takes notes so I can bring a quart bag with 3.4 ounce bottles of acid onto a plane.
I had that happen for a while too, somehow it thought I was using it too much or something that wasn’t for personal use. You can request a whitelist if you are so inclined. The process was pretty simple: https://anydesk.com/en/whitelist-request
After I did that I haven’t seen that pop back up in over a year.
It’s the only thing allowed, lol. According to the wiki article OP linked all other motor vehicles (other than tractors) are banned. You would think there would be an exception for emergency services…
How about meatspin? That was a classic!
lol omg it is!
I feel like “eat all politicians, burn the system down, and start anew” is a valid position, lol.
I assume you don’t suffer from it. Even with the house closed up, the AC on, multiple air purifiers running 24/7, and regular antihistamines it’s still a fucking bitch during pollen season. Hell even adding a Sudafed while venturing outside doesn’t fully negate the effects.
You learn to deal with it, but it’s still sucky.
You can tell shit is really getting crazy when the list of people CC’d grows with every single reply-all, lol.
They also screw to lock so they can’t accidentally open up. I think I still have some around here somewhere, I used to climb trees for fun.
huh, it was made in my state of Ohio too, neat!
Doomsday clock? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_Clock
That’s my only guess.
What’s really amazing to me is they could have EASILY pivoted and become a mega online retailer like today’s Amazon. They literally had all the pieces already in place with their catalog/mail order/warehouses.
At least the Ryobi is super-lightweight! I can easily carry it out of my garage and even with the battery it’s far lighter to push around than a gas mower. I’m hard on blades though with so many sticks and pine cones, no matter how many I pick up I always miss some.
Oh my allergies are horrible too, I just make sure to take a Sudafed (can’t recall the generic name) before I start. I love that stuff, we always keep a stash around especially as you have to get it from the pharmacy and they don’t keep very much stock it seems.
Nah, my yard is tiny and I don’t mind mowing it. I have a Ryobi battery mower so it’s super-easy to do. If I ever move somewhere with a bigger yard though I would seriously consider it. Especially as I already have Home Assistant running!
Damn, $45k. Though I guess for something like a park it probably has a pretty quick ROI.
Typically, very little. I have ~40 containers in my Docker stack and by in large it just works. I upgrade stuff here and there as needed. I am getting ready to do a hardware refresh but again with Docker that’s pretty painless.
Most of the time spent in my lab is trying out new things. I’ll find a new something that looks cool and go down the rabbit hole with it for a while. Then back to the status quo.
This looks amazing! Going to play with it tonight. Thanks!!
This is the way.
