I am currently using Immich to host my images of my family. Maybe this community can give me some insights of the features and the future of both products, and how you use them. It seems like the comparision chart in LibrePhotos is outdated. Thanks in advance :)

I can’t speak for those two products but I quite like PhotoPrism. It does a decent job at auto tagging my photos.

I use LibrePhotos in my home server. I did not know about Immich, either.

Although LP is updated que frequently there is still much work to do so that it is considered a complete product.

It is not a Google Photos replacement yet but it is the closest of all other services I tested.

I’ve tested a couple solutions and settled on Immich. Does everything I need and the pace at which they add new features and improve it overall is insane.

Immich has the companion app and handles auto-backup of your photos from your phone, it’s basically a direct replacement for Google Photos.

LibrePhotos is more a photo gallery, it shows photos from your file system, and doesn’t have a companion app.

Both do face recognition and have multi user support.
