Yeah, “Regulators” is an odd ass example. The other book that King released at the same time under his actual name (“Desperation”) was way more memorable drawing from my adolescent mind. Having read both at the time of around their respective release, I don’t remember much about Regulators other than it takes place in a suburb and Desperation is so vastly superior a read/100 and it’s not even close. Tak was a memorable character though. Stuck with me throughout my life. I think Stephen was just trying to build a world around Tak, tbh.

He was, yes. It’s been too long on the details but I think I remember him staying in bodies much longer in Desperation.
